BANANA BREAD GUY PACKAGE REDESIGN

scope: Custom packaging design, visual identity update, and product lineup differentiation.
role: Brand Identity, Packaging Design & Color Strategy.

The original brief strictly called for a dark, utilitarian look to keep initial costs low. However, after sharing the initial concept with community members and trusted peers, the feedback was clear: it needed more energy and personality to stand out. With an expanded budget and full creative freedom for round two, we pivoted to a bold visual overhaul. The new design pairs a custom geometric triangular box with light, joyful colorways that scream "treat!". The color contrasts naturally against the rich tones of the baked bread viewed through the window—resulting in a distinct, shelf-ready packaging system that clearly highlights its GF, Vegan, and Seed-Oil Free claims.

What began as a custom illustration project for mini specialty jars evolved into a comprehensive packaging system across Big Jalm’s full retail line. The hand-drawn fruit artwork seamlessly extends from individual 2 oz samplers and full-size retail jars into a custom 3-pack gift box—delivering a cohesive, shelf-ready brand presence built to strict NLEA and print-ready production standards.

On-Set Direction & Staging

Pivoted on-site to lead staging, set styling, and shot list creation—introducing warm textures like natural wood, pottery, and greenery to elevate cold stainless-steel prep surfaces. Directed macro camera angles and talent cuts to capture high-clarity video stills engineered specifically for instructional use.
Instructional Print Guides

Extracted high-resolution stills from directed video footage to create step-by-step fish butchery guides. To ensure maximum accessibility beyond live events, I designed two distinct production formats: a vibrant, full-bleed version for professional print runs, and an ink-efficient, border-safe edition optimized for download and home printing.
Interactive Presentation Decks
(European Trade Mission)

Designed presentation slides for an international trade mission across Europe aimed at expanding PNW seafood exports. To support live presenters during chef demonstrations, I edited raw footage into tight, high-impact video loops embedded directly within species-specific slides—giving trade audiences an instant visual introduction to fish butchery and preparation techniques before live tastings.

Dr. Martens for Dillard's —
Co-Op Print Advertising Campaign

scope: Print ad design, promotional retail layouts, photo manipulation, and multi-product grid systems.
role: Graphic Design, Photo Compositing & Retail Collateral Layout.

LEFT IMAGE To bridge lifestyle mood imagery with functional product display, I utilized a diagonal torn-paper effect that dissipates across the page. This tactile, collage-style transition creates natural movement—drawing the viewer’s eye directly from the lifestyle imagery down into a dynamic fan of featured boot styles. RIGHT IMAGE Engineered a structured layout to meet strict department store requirements—incorporating mandatory product silhouetting, style naming, and pricing. By using subtle, raw background textures to construct a geometric grid, the layout subtly mirrors the iconic Dr. Martens cross/plus mark while organizing multiple product SKUs.

To support Pacific Northwest suppliers pursuing European trade deals at the world’s largest seafood expo, I designed a cohesive environmental visual identity across four dedicated company booths, two specialty kiosks, and a central kitchen demonstration hub. Serving as the primary creative contact across six seafood suppliers, I aligned brand assets and production timelines to deliver a unified profile booklet, daily tasting schedules, and counter signage. Every print touchpoint featured an integrated QR code directing international buyers to a custom supplier landing page—seamlessly bridging the physical event experience with instant digital access.
